Fall colors/foraging walk 2026! We live in such a beautiful place and what a beautiful time of year to really take it all in with the beautiful colors, cooler temps (and absence of bugs 😆) For this walk we will be doing the 10.5 mile Chapel loop trek, which boasts beautiful cliff views of the pictured rock shoreline, several waterfalls and a beautiful array of plants and trees that call the Boreal forest home. This will be an all day event (plan for 8 hours at least) and we will be meeting at the trail head at 8am so we can make sure we don’t run out of daylight 🥰

The idea of the walk is to allow folks to smell, feel and get their eyes on plants in real time while enjoying the incredible views and taking in this season. Everyone will get a booklet of everything we went over, including identification features like the leaf shape, vein patterns, flower structure (shape and arrangement, stamen and pistil characteristics ect), fruit type (color, seed dispersal mechanisms, shapes), and stem shapes (branching patterns ect) to refer back to.

Be sure to wear suitable foot wear, clothing, water and a snack/lunch. I will send out an email the week of the walk with weather information and reconfirming details!
