A little branch to the apothecary tree- Backwoods Kids Gear Boxes
We have a pile of kids around here. Between my fiancé and I there are 7 kiddos with ages ranging from 0-10.
I can’t control what they do all the time, but I can control what they do when they’re with me and I personally haaaate screens. So much. But like I said, all I can do is my best and we try to avoid them the best we can when we have them. Easier said then done sometimes.
So, my goal for them this summer- reconnect with the wild world and just BE KIDS. And I wanted to help as many people as I can do the same.
Have you ever noticed how hard it is to find GOOD kids gear? Not crap stuff that doesn’t even work or falls apart but real gear they can benefit from and develop real life skills with? I have, and I went down the rabbit hole to find real true outdoor gear for kids. Luckily I’ve also acquired many of these kinds of things over the years from gears to books and have a pretty good list of whats solid and whats not.
So, my newest little branch on the apothecary tree- 🌲Backwoods Kids Gear Boxes 🌲
A monthly subscription box (with a quarterly option)
2 box options-
*Big kid box- 8yrs-13 yrs
*Little kid box 3yrs-7yrs
All USA made. Each monthly box will have a theme, be is fishing, foraging, survival, hunting and so on. All for kids. Let’s get these kiddos off screens this summer ☀️ Depending on price point I wanted to have the following:
🪓One tool (magnifying glass, knife, binoculars, fire starter, whistle, survival bracelets, backpacks, foraging bags, herb stripper)
🏹Hunting/Fishing (calls, fishing poles, sling shot ect)
🍄One sticker (nature related)
🧢One apparel (hat, tshirt, weather gear, bug net ect)
🌻One activity (outdoor playing cards, flower press, scavenger hunts, ect)
📚One book (foraging, survival, herbal remedies for kids, camping ect)
🍴One cutlery (water bottle, utensil set ect)
🩹One first aid (tick remover, salves ect)
For the monthly option, billing takes place once a month and ships at the end of the month
For the seasonal option, billing takes place every 3 months and ships at the end of that month
Each box contains an average of $100 value of gear that lots of research, thought and testing has gone into 🤗🤗
